More on Karl Rove

Someone on another blog made a comment about who Karl Rove would pick for the Democrats, if he were to suddenly switch parties. This was my response, which I thought was worthy of posting here as well. --Liam.

I think the country has had all it can stand of Rovian tactics, and the LAST thing I would want would be to replace the current crop with a Democratic equivalent.

See, that should only sound good to partisan Democrats, the type who would vote for the Democratic nominee even if the Democrats nominated the ebola virus.

What this country really NEEDS is someone who will return us to TRUTH. Someone who will respect our great nation's core philosphies and will put the good of the nation ahead of securing power for himself and his cadre. Someone who will actually SHOW good values and morals, instead of pandering to them. Someone who understands that, frustrating as it may be, our country is set up the way it is for a reason, and shifting the balance of power around in the interest of getting more done actually harms this nation, rather than helping it.

I don't particularly care if this someone comes from the Democrats, the Republicans, from an as-yet-to-be-named third party, or floats in on an easterly wind holding an umbrella and singing about spoons full of sugar.

But PLEASE, no more Karl Rove driven candidates.
