VoW: A comment

We're not posting some of the commentary. To be fair, there were a number of people on the mailing list from which many of these e-mails come saying "Things aren't that bad, don't spread rumors". There are others saying they've seen it, and the official denials by the Mayor are to try to keep people from panicking. It's hard to tell who among the "Don't spread rumors" crowd are actually there and seeing things fine and how many live further outside Baton Rouge proper and are just trusting the news reports and issuing well meaning but incorrect warnings.

We believe the commentaries we are posting, but we felt it important to point out that there were dissenting voices.
